    Mission
The Self-Help Library, developed by the University Counseling Center, is a service designed to help students make healthy lifestyle choices and to find ways to succeed in college. This program offers you access to self-help books, pamphlets, and audio-visual tapes to explore or research issues in which you are interested. It offers you another way, aside from counseling or attending workshops, to get information on psychological and health issues. You can use our resources to learn more about yourself, explore your interpersonal skills and attitudes, promote personal growth, improve academic skills, better understand your feelings, and identify your personal and professional interests.

(Please note: The information contained on our website and in our Self-Help Library is not intended as a substitute for help from a qualified mental health professional.)

    Using Our Materials
You will be asked to sign in and give your student ID in exchange for materials. Our sign-in sheet will be kept confidential. Ask the Self-Help Library monitor for our resource book which lists all our materials and fill out a request form for the materials you would like to use. All materials must be used at our Center and can not be loaned out over night. This is to ensure availability of all materials to as many students as possible.
