E-mail Policy
Limits to confidentiality when sending e-mail Please be aware that any information you submit via e-mail is not confidential and could be observed by a third party while it is in transit. If you are sending information you would like to keep private, it would be safer for you to call the Counseling Center or to stop by and speak with a counselor.
Purpose of corresponding with us via e-mail We offer you the option of emailing us to let us know what you think about our web pages, to give us suggestions for other issues and topics to include, or to ask general questions about our services. Please do not use e-mail to inquire about personal issues which are causing you difficulty.
Due to the limits of confidentiality with e-mail, The University Counseling Center staff ask you to contact us by phone or in person. Staff members will not schedule appointments via e-mail or discuss personal issues through e-mail messages. If you send the Center or a staff member e-mail, please include a phone number where you can be reached so that someone can get back to you directly.
