Community Building Community (CBC)

August 27-29, 2008

 Community Building Community is a non-profit venture sponsored by the Student Activities Center’s Office of Community Service. Over the course of this community service program, students will make a positive and lasting impact in Washington, DC.

As a CBC participant, you will engage in service projects with your peers related to the environment, hunger, homelessness, and youth advocacy, among others. In the process, you will help build a stronger community.

CBC is open to new students attending any of the five CI sessions. As a participant, you’ll have many experiences:

• A chance to make a difference by serving the Washington, DC area

• A time to share, grow, and experience the value of community service

• An opportunity to experience many of the city’s historic sites and neighborhoods

• An opportunity to have fun and make lasting friendships with your new classmates

A non-refundable fee of $120 helps defray program costs such
as food, supplies, transportation, and training materials.  For more
