By
Plane or Train
Ronald Reagan
Washington National
Airport
If you are traveling by plane and flying directly into Reagan National Airport,
you can reach the campus by taxi, which will cost approximately $15. You can
also reach campus by taking the Metro Blue Line (towards Largo Town Center). Exit at the stop
marked “Foggy Bottom–GWU.”
Dulles International Airport
If
you are flying into Dulles International Airport, you can take the Washington Flyer Shuttle Bus to
the West Falls Church Metro station on the Orange Line. The fee
for the bus is $9 one–way and $16 round–trip (cash only). Tickets can be
purchased at the airport. From the West Falls Church Metro, take the Orange Line (towards New Carrollton). Exit at the stop
marked “Foggy Bottom–GWU.”
Union
Station
If
you are arriving in DC by train, you should arrive at DC’s Union Station.
Located at 50 Massachusetts Avenue,
NE, Union Station is just
a quick taxi ride or Metro trip to GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus. If you choose to
take the metro please note that you will need to transfer from the Red Line to
the Blue or Orange Line at Metro Center. If you wish to travel
by taxi, you can expect to pay $10 - $15 depending on the number of passengers
and pieces of luggage.

Car
North
>> Take
I-95 South to I-495 (Capital Beltway) toward Silver Spring/Northern Virginia. Take exit 33,
heading south on Connecticut
Avenue for about 9 miles. Turn
right onto Florida
Avenue (just past the Washington Hilton) and turn left
immediately onto 21st
Street. Turn right onto I
Street. The visitor entrance to the parking garage is on the left between 22nd
and 23rd Streets.
West
>> Interstate
66 and Route 50 both connect with the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Cross the bridge and
exit left at E Street, then again at Virginia
Avenue. Bear left, following
signs for 23rd
Street. Turn right on 23rd
Street and continue a few
blocks to campus. Turn right on I Street. The visitor entrance to the parking
garage is on your right between 22nd and 23rd Streets.
South
>> Take
Interstate 395 North to the Arlington Memorial Bridge exit. Cross the bridge
and bear left at the Lincoln Memorial. Turn left
onto 23rd
Street, and follow directions
as given in “From West.”
By
Metro
If
you are traveling by Metro to campus, exit at the stop marked “Foggy
Bottom–GWU.” As you exit the station, you will be at 23rd and I Streets. The Marvin Center is on 21st
Street between H and I Streets,
NW.
