What to Bring to CI
We don't need to remind you to bring a positive attitude or an open mind, but here are a few of the things you might otherwise forget!
• GWid and PIN
• NetID and password
• Class Schedule
• Cell phone and charger
• Alarm clock
• Personal items, including shampoo, soap, swimsuit, etc. (Sheets and towels will be provided.)
• Spending money (although all meals are included for students)
• Umbrella
• Casual clothing (DC summers are generally hot) and comfortable walking shoes
• Two forms of identification, including one US GOVERNMENT issued photo ID (drivers license, passport, etc.)
• Documentation of any College Board Advanced Placement exams
Once you arrive at CI....
Driving around campus on the morning of Day 1 can be confusing, so we recommend parking as soon as you can, and accessing campus on foot. Leave your luggage in the car while you take care of CI Check-in. You'll have plenty of time to get your luggage over to Madison, Crawford or Lafayette Hall after check-in!
We recommend taking a look at the tentative schedules.
* Park at the Visitor's Garage (22nd and H Streets) and leave your luggage in the car!
* Walk down the street to the Marvin Center (800 21st Street) and come up to the 3rd Floor for Check-in
* After check-in, stop by your car, pick up your luggage and head over to your assigned residence hall (Madison, Crawford, or Lafayette) - Don't worry, the garage is not far from the residence halls!
* After settling in to your room, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the schedule (given to you at check-in) before joining us for the first official event!
