Employer Travel Information
Below you will find travel information to The George Washington University for the On-Campus Recruiting program. Included is some useful information regarding local hotels within walking distance of the University, directions to campus, as well as parking garages near the Career Center.
The Career Center is located in the Old Main building, 1922 F Street, NW, at the corner of 20th and F streets on the southeastern edge of the Foggy Bottom campus.
Many of our programs and events are held in the Marvin Center, which is located at 800 21st Street, NW, between H and I streets on the northern edge of campus.

By Automobile:
From the North:
Interstate 95 south to Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) toward Silver Spring/Northern Virginia. Take exit 33, heading south on Connecticut Avenue for about 9 miles. Turn right onto Florida Avenue (just past the Washington Hilton) and turn left immediately onto 21st Street. Turn right on I Street. The visitor entrance to the parking garage is on the left between 22nd and 23rd Streets.
From Northwest:
Interstate 270 to Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) toward Silver Spring. Take exit 33, heading south on Connecticut Avenue for about 9 miles. Follow directions as given in "From North."
From West:
Interstate 66 and Route 50 both connect with the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Cross the bridge and exit left at E Street, then again at Virginia Avenue. Bear left, following signs for 23rd Street. Turn right on 23rd Street and continue a few blocks to campus. Turn right on I Street. The visitor entrance to the parking garage will be on your right between 22nd and 23rd streets.
From South
Interstate 95 to Interstate 395 - Arlington Memorial Bridge exit. Cross the bridge and bear left at the Lincoln Memorial. Turn left onto 23rd Street and continue a few blocks to campus. Turn right on I Street. The visitor entrance to the parking garage will be on your right between 22nd and 23rd streets.
By RAIL or AIR:
From National Airport:
Take Metrorail's Blue Line towards Addison Road-Seat Pleasant to the Foggy Bottom-GWU station (which is located on the corner of 23rd and I streets) or to the Farragut West station (18th & I exit). The Career Center is equidistant from both metrorail stations. Note: if you are going to the Marvin Center, exit at Foggy Bottom.
From Union Station:
Take the Red Line (heading towards Shady Grove or Grosvenor) to the Metro Center station, then transfer to the Blue Line(Franconia-Springfield) -OR- to the Orange Line (Vienna-Fairfax) and exit at either the Farragut West or Foggy Bottom-GWU stations. The Career Center is equidistant from both metrorail stations. Note: if you are going to the Marvin Center, exit at Foggy Bottom.

FEDERAL WORK STUDY JOB FAIR

Students who have been awarded Federal Work Study funds as part of their University financial aid package can take advantage of this opportunity to meet with employers and to pick up employment forms and complete tax paperwork. FALL CAREER FAIR

Meet with employers representing a variety of career fields recruiting for full-time, part-time, co-op and internship positions. Attend the fair to look for job leads, gather information, and to develop a network of contacts. GWorld ID required for entrance. Proper attire required; business attire requested.
