The George Washington University Counseling Center The University Counseling Center offers Career Decision Workshops designed to help a student choose a major and make further career decisions. Self-assessment tests are available to aid the student in career and major exploration. A student may use individual career counseling if they feel it is necessary.
JobHuntersBible.com A great site designed by Dick Bolles, the author of What Color is your Parachute?; a practical manual for job-hunters and career-changers. Provides multiple links and information about: resumes, job listings, research and information sites, choosing a major, self assessment tests and career related advice.
JobWeb This great web site includes services, expert advice, job opportunities, first-hand accounts of employees and descriptions of companies. Moreover, there is a discussion board to post your thoughts, ideas and questions. Resources provide information on general job-search information, career profiles, what to major in for a specific job field, salary information and other useful links.

There are also additional links to other "What Can I Do With A Major In...?" web sites.
Northern Illinois University: Major Web-Links This site gives examples of employers and links to occupational information for each major. It also has a list of sample job titles with links that provide in-depth information concerning each job such as descriptions, opportunities and salary ranges.
UNCW Career Services: What Can I Do With a Major In...? This web site has an extensive section on "What Can I Do With A Major In...?". In addition, there is a section on Assessments, Career Planning, tips on Graduate Schools and International Resources. There is information on Virtual Career Fairs, a job posting database as well as a Job Profile link in which one can research specific industries from an employee's perspective.
University of Tennessee Career Services: What Can I Do With This Major? This web site provides a comprehensive list of majors. By clicking on the "information" link, you will find information on common career areas, typical employees and strategies to increase career opportunities. The "link" section provides different sites that contain additional information regarding your major and career options.
Florida State University Career Center: Match Major Sheets This site includes a list of majors, which link to information on sample career opportunities and sample work environments for each specific field. Furthermore, it provides a contact list of professional organizations.
University of Delaware MBNA Career Services Center: Choosing a Career This web site has several links to resources such as a "Day on the Job" section, information on Self Assessment and a "Major Resource Kits" which links academic majors to different career options. Each major description starts with a brief introduction to the field, a list of sample job titles, ways to enhance your possibility of being hired, typical industries hiring students in that major and additional web links.

FEDERAL WORK STUDY JOB FAIR

Students who have been awarded Federal Work Study funds as part of their University financial aid package can take advantage of this opportunity to meet with employers and to pick up employment forms and complete tax paperwork. Dress appropriately as employers may conduct preliminary job interviews at the fair. Coming later this summer - info on attending FWS employers will be listed on GWork!
FALL CAREER FAIR

Meet with employers representing a variety of career fields recruiting for full-time, part-time, co-op and internship positions. Attend the fair to look for job leads, gather information, and to develop a network of contacts. GWorld ID required for entrance. Proper attire required; business attire requested.
