About GWork:
Job & Internship Listing Service for GW Students & Alumni
GWork makes it easy to manage your job search activities, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The GWork system features full-time career positions, regular part-time, federal work study and seasonal jobs as well as internships and cooperative education positions.

GWork offers GW students and alumni the opportunity to view positions posted exclusively to their attention by over 12,000 registered employers.

 

What types of positions are posted on GWork?

-Full-time permanent jobs (including OCR -related positions)
-Part-time jobs (on campus and off):  Regular hourly wage positions and all
 GW Federal Work Study positions.
-Internships (Paid and Unpaid)
-
Cooperative Education (Co-op) positions


How to search for jobs in GWork:

Log in to GWork:  http://gwork.gwu.edu

  1. Click the Jobs tab in the toolbar.
  2. Click Jobs again in the dropdown menu.  This will bring up a series of categories to search for jobs.
  3. Under Position Type, select the appropriate type (FWS, co-op, full-time, part-time, internship, etc.)
  4. Click on the desired positions and follow application instructions.

GWork also provides information on Career Center workshops and programs, as well as on organizations that are hosting information sessions and participating in on-campus recruiting and career and job fairs. 

How to find out about WORKSHOPS AND OTHER EVENTS:
  1. Log in to GWork at http://gwork.gwu.edu
  2. Select Events from the toolbar. 
  3. Click the Workshops tab.  This will bring up a list of workshops and the date and time when they will be held.
  4. Click the desired workshop for details and to RSVP.

How to find out about EMPLOYERS ATTENDING A FAIR: 

  1. Log in to GWork at http://gwork.gwu.edu
  2. Select Events from the toolbar.
  3. Select the desired fair.  This will bring up a list of employers.  Their organization names are hyperlinked – click these to learn more about the company and the types of positions for which they are hiring.

How to find out about EMPLOYERS HOSTING INFORMATION SESSIONS: 

  1. Log in to GWork at http://gwork.gwu.edu
  2. Select Events from the toolbar.
  3. Click the Information Sessions tab.  This will bring up a list of employers and the date and time they will be on campus.
  4. Click the desired information session for details and to RSVP.

How to find out about the ON-CAMPUS RECRUITING PROGRAM: 

  1. Log in to GWork at http://gwork.gwu.edu
  2. In the Announcements section, under Interviews, click the link to view the OCR orientation.   
  3. More information on OCR can be found at http://gwired.gwu.edu/career/ocr.
