STUDENT OFFICE ASSISTANT
BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Office Assistants provide support to daily office functions and are an integral part of the CADE team.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Act as an important customer service representative.
2. Ensure daily office coverage by providing phone coverage, and assisting in general office duties including copying, filing, and faxing.
3. Manage and complete special projects such as event planning, programming and training logistics, data management, and other duties as assigned.
4. Become well-versed in office computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.
REMUNERATION
Must be a work-study student. Work schedule can range from 10-15 hours per week during regular office hours which are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm. Hourly wage is $10.00 per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Grade point averages will be considered for applicants. Ideal candidates are those with a cumulative GPA above 2.5.
2. The judicial record of candidates will be considered during the application process and when necessary, will be discussed with candidates. In addition, applicants who violate University policy after the time of application may be withdrawn from consideration.
3. Candidate must demonstrate strong administrative skills.
4. Candidate must demonstrate potential for working with diverse populations with special needs
5. Candidate must be currently registered as a full-time student in a George Washington University degree-granting undergraduate or graduate degree program
