School of Public Health and Health Services Experience

The School of Public Health and Health Services (SPHHS) is the only public health school in the nation's capital, and one of only 37 accredited schools in the United States. At the undergraduate level, SPHHS offers three bachelor of science degrees:  Exercise Science, Athletic Training, and Public Health. Our Athletic Training and Exercise Science degrees provide strong foundations in the health sciences as well as skills that will equip graduates to succeed in a variety of professional endeavors. The GW Athletic Training program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) Programs; the only such accredited program in Washington, DC. GW is one of just a handful of universities offering a BS degree in Public Health, accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health, and undergraduate students are stimulated by the academic rigor and immediate relevance of this cutting edge program.
