GWSB Experience

GW’s School of Business (GWSB) prepares students for professional management and business careers. The depth and variety of its academic and professional programs provide rich opportunities for undergraduate students. Its academic mission is to deliver an outstanding education, advance knowledge, and provide practical experience in diverse organizational settings, leveraging the unique advantages of our location in the Washington, DC, area thus enhancing the capacities of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the business community to be productive and principled members of society. In January 2006, GWSB opened its new academic complex in Ric and Dawn Duques Hall and Norma Lee and Morton Funger Hall. This complex provides students with a unified center for study and career development activities. Duques Hall features the Capital Markets Room that provides software and financial information systems for financial modeling, trading, and portfolio management. It also features a Behavioral Lab that is used to conduct focus groups and provide marketing and sales instruction.
