Residential Life

Both campus communities offer premium residential options to freshmen and continuing students. GW’s 33 distinctive residence halls range from traditional coed residential options to apartment-style residence halls with private bathrooms and from upperclassman Scholars' Village townhouses to total independent-living high-rises. Freshmen and sophomore students are required to live in University housing, and the University aims to provide on-campus housing for students who want to live in the residence hall system throughout their entire undergraduate experience. Our commitment to provide a complete undergraduate educational experience includes residence hall programming for students in University-sponsored housing. The interest based house systems allows residents to create a living and learning cohorts that best serves their extracurricular interests.
