International Admission Process
GW enrolls over 2,000 international students representing more than 125 different countries. It is, therefore, no surprise that GW consistently ranks among the top research universities in the United States in terms of international diversity within the student body. We welcome students from other countries who we believe add to the international character of our institution.
Our review of an applicant to GW includes an evaluation of the applicant's academic background, the rigor of the program pursued, courses previously taken, and grades earned. We also take into consideration other factors as outlined in the freshman and transfer sections of this web site. Because of our long history of welcoming international students to our university, we have extensive experience in reviewing credentials from other countries.
