Honors, Accelerated, and Special Programs
Freshman applicants are encouraged to apply to one of our Honors, Accelerated, or Special programs which are designed to add even greater academic challenge and breadth to our many academic offerings. These programs span a variety of disciplines and include both academic and co-curricular components. Please note that these programs are available only to entering freshmen.
Because of academic and residential requirements for many of these opportunities, students are limited in the number of programs to which they may be considered. Applicants to the University Honors Program or to an Accelerated Program are not eligible to apply to a Special Program, and, with the exception of Presidential Scholars in the Arts (which is available to all applicants), applicants may apply to only one special program or one accelerated program.
To be considered for any one of these programs, you must fulfill the application requirements for regular freshman admission, submit the online Honors, Accelerated, and Special Programs Application, and complete the requirements given in the links below.
