College Fair Ins & Outs

  • Arrive 30 minutes prior to the event in order to set-up your table, meet other representatives, and enjoy the refreshments that are often served at these events.

  • Familiarize yourself with the GW Facts which will provide you answers to commonly asked questions.

  • Review the list of Frequently Asked Questions to help you handle common inquiries.

  • Your exchange with prospective students and parents should not be a “hard sell.”  Speak with the student and parents, answer their questions, and feel free to relate some of your own experiences, but never try to force information on a student who isn’t interested.

  • If there are any questions you cannot answer, please give the student a GW admissions staff business card and encourage them to call.

  • Keep track of the number of students you meet, the number of brochures you distribute, and the number of cards students fill out.

  • After the program, please return the completed Evaluation Form along with the completed inquiry cards to your admissions contact person in the return reply envelope that came with your materials.
