Student/Parent Calling

April is a time of decision making for students. They know which colleges they have been admitted to and now must make the final college choice. During this time, many students, as well as their parents, wrestle with this decision as they weigh many personal factors – will I be happy at this school? can I get involved? will my child be safe? In order to assist in the process, we want to connect with as many families as possible. This is where you as an AAP member can play a role.

During April we ask you to call accepted students and their families to congratulate them on their admission to the University and answer any questions they may have. We want to be sure, to the greatest extent possible, that students are sufficiently informed about GW and your experiences as an AAP member can help him/her to make the best decision.

When you participate in the calling process, the Admissions Office will send you a list of families in targeted areas who have been identified as the most appropriate to call. You will also be provided with a script to follow.
